New Studio Tour!

Today was my New Studio Open House Event.  We had a blast!  It was so great seeing all of you that stopped by....old friends & new friends!  Thanks so much for coming!!

And for those of you who couldn't come....here's a little Studio Tour for you!  This is a dream come true and I am over the moon about my new space!  There will be many years of capturing memories in this place!!  Thanks to all of you who have supported me!!  I appreciate you all!

My new address is 100 Bridge Street, Suite C2, in Downtown Hampton, behind the Towne Bank & the VA Air & Space Museum.  I will not keep store hours, but will be there "by appointment only".  Enjoy the tour....

Here's a view from inside of the VA Air & Space Museum.  There are four buildings in the "Harbor Place" complex and I'm in the one story building in the middle, on the right.
It's Official!  I'm a downtown business resident!!  It's neat seeing My name....little ole me....on that big ole sign.  It's like having my name in big, bright lights...scary & exciting all at the same time!
My studio is located in the third building in the complex.  Building C...but don't go in that front entrance...my entrance is on the right side of the building.
Come to the right side of the building, and up the first flight of steps...
My first guests for the Open House were two mallard ducks!  They were very timely, showing up right at 2pm!!  ...The perks of being on the water!
Another sign to help you find the way...
The Studio Front Door....Another adorable sign my sister-in-law made for me!!
Come on in...
As you walk in the front door, you'll see a super cute growth chart on the wall...all the kids LOVE to measure themselves!!

A BEFORE picture of my waiting room...
 And AFTER...
One of my client's gave me this old buffet and I painted it black & put it in the studio...I LOVE how it turned out.  It was my first time painting furniture!
Plenty of books & pictures on display!
My Alphabet Photography...For Sale...My full alphabet gallery is on my website under client proofing.  You can place your order right on-line!
 Here's my "Wedding Corner"....
Lovely windows...with a view of the VA Air & Space Museum...
My old cameras have a new home...

Oh...did I mention I have my very OWN bathroom?!?!  It's the little things in life...  BEFORE shot of the bathroom...
...AFTER...
BEFORE picture of my prop room....And YES...this room filled up VERY quickly!
The sign on my prop room door that my sister-in-law made for me!  I gave her the quote & this is what she came up with.  (She is so awesome!!)  You can find her on Facebook under "Heartwork By Amie".  Go "like" her page...she's amazing!  She can custom make you a piece too!!
 Storage Wall # One...
Storage wall # 2 & 3...and my desk/office space with another awesome view of the VA Air & Space Museum...
And storage wall # 4...See...told ya I have a lot of stuff!
And for the final room...aka...the "shooting room"...where I "shoot" people!!  LOL!  Here are two BEFORE pictures...
And a few AFTER pictures...My awesome hubby spent two long evenings laying this hardwood floor and I absolutely love it!  I also love these extra cabinets for storing yet...MORE props!
Changing table available for all those babies!!
And a picture of my sister-in-law (Man...I've mentioned her a lot on this blog haven't I?!  LOL!).  This picture gets a lot of comments.  We photographed her every month of her entire pregnancy.  It turned out awesome!
And here's a few more pictures of the "shooting room" all set-up for the Open House.  We had some cake, some door prizes, and a candy buffet, which was a big hit with the kids!  They could make their own goodies bags to take home.
From my shooting room, I get a wonderful view of the water.  Here are two pictures of my deck and the back of my building...
And the gorgeous sunsets I get to see from my front & back decks!
Thanks for taking the time to view my blog & go through the "virtual tour".  And many thanks to my close friends & family members who helped me achieve this next goal in my career...for painting walls, laying hardwood floors, moving TONS of props, cleaning toilets, etc.  I couldn't have made this all happen without them!!
I am so excited about my New studio space and this new venture in my career...and even more excited about all the people who will come through those doors, that will give me the opportunity & the pleasure of capturing memories for them!  Have a great night!
